As a Materials Planner / Buyer in the Wheels and Brakes business unit here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of materials and components for our production and supply chain operations. You will be accountable for planning, procuring, and managing inventory to facilitate the production schedule and meet customer demand. Your expertise in materials planning and procurement will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our Wheels and Brakes business. You will report directly to our Regional MM leader with a matrix report to the location Plant Manager. You will work out of our designated location Feltham. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the success of our production and supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and coordinate the procurement of materials and components to facilitate production and customer demand • Monitor inventory levels and optimize inventory management to minimize carrying costs and ensure availability • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align materials planning with production schedules and customer requirements • Analyse demand patterns and forecast future material requirements
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field • Minimum 2 years of experience in materials planning, procurement, or supply chain management • Strong knowledge of materials planning ethics and inventory management • Proficiency in using materials planning and procurement software/systems
