DESCRIPTION
Come join a creative team of Operations Technology Engineers that builds the wired and wireless networks that power Amazon fulfillment centers and transportation sites worldwide. These networks are used by hundreds of thousands of associates, relied upon by operators of industry-leading fulfillment and transportation systems, and play a critical role in the delivery of shipments to Amazon retail customers. This role provides 7X24 escalation support on shift rotation basis. Some night and week end support may be required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Excellent design, implementation, and skills combined with a proven documentation methodology.
- Experience in designing and operating large-scale, production networks
- Experience with major routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF
- Experience with routing and switching hardware from major vendors including Juniper and Cisco
- In addition to providing top-tier management and support of Amazons vast infrastructure, Engineers are expected to build or enhance tools, develop best practices, refine operational procedure and constantly think pro-actively and with innovation
- Ability to work on a diverse team with a diverse range of co-workers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in automating administration using , Python, or other language
- Development and delivery of large scale designs in data center networks
- Experience with IPv6 Design and implementations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in wide area networking (including SDWAN), wireless networking, and industrial Ethernet
- Expertise in information security for industrial control systems

The base pay for this position ranges from $102,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
