Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with GM and China R&D leadership team to integrate and manage business priorities including project pipeline, site activities, capability and capacity development and talentdevelopment.
- Interact with relevant China R&D functions and China business partners to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient execution of businesspriorities.
- Interact with HQ and regional stakeholders to ensure a clear alignment and implementation of the overall company priorities in China.
- Oversee and coordinate key strategic initiatives within the organization and keep track the progress to ensure the alignment and communication amongdivisional/functions.
- Identify business risks and areas for improvement and develop relevant risk mitigation plan and plan for improving the operation efficiency.
- Provide industry-leading scientific and intelligence insight to support critical decision-making.
- Provide business operation expertise and leadership in establishing future R&D strategies.
- Assist GM in strategic communications and internal/external presentations.
- Collaborate with China communication department to develop and align key messages and communication plans.
- Assist GM in facilitating productive LT meetings in driving and executing agenda, and closely following up action items.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Ph.D. /MD in life or biomedical sciences (or equivalent)
- Solid experience in drug discovery or development with pharmaceutical or biotech companies (>10 years)
- Demonstrated scientificcapability/experience.
- Strong leadership with business acumen
- Solid analytical and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and oral communication)
- Agile and strong in strategic thinking and stakeholder management
