TheDirector – Executive Corporate ER Investigator'sresponsibility is to conduct the most highly complex investigations of HR-related concerns escalated to the Employee Relations & HR Policy discipline. The role requires a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments in Employee Relations, and Employment Law and Investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent investigations of highly complex HR-related allegations, including Ethics Office, executive and other escalations, in order to thoroughly fact find, reach investigative conclusions, recommend resolutions and mitigate risk to the franchise, within prescribed timeframes.
- Adhere to established and evolving standards for detailed, auditable and required documentation.
- Foster strong work relationships and collaboration with key investigative partners (Employment Law, ICRM, CSIS).
- Track and analyze trends, diagnose root causes, and develop recommendations for corrective strategies with regard to the Sr. ER Investigator’s portfolio of matters.
- Exceptional report writing and the ability to deliver clear and concise investigative summaries in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Critical thinking to review and credibly challenge investigation findings.
- Conduct investigations of concerns arising in both the US and other countries.
- Act as a change agent to identify and provide solutions for enhancements and efficiencies in the ER investigative process.
- Provide consultation, guidance, and coaching to Human Resources and business partners on the appropriate handling and resolution of employee relations matters so long as not on a matter the ER Investigator is investigating.
Qualifications:
- 10-15+ years of investigative experience in Employee Relations and/or Employment Law matters, including complex, sensitive matter, the successful candidate must have excellent investigation planning, interview, e-discovery, documentation, and report writing skills.
- Experience working globally (preferred).
- Knowledge of employment policies, practices and employment law and regulations.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills: feedback, coaching and guidance of others.
- Ability to build solid relationships at all levels and influence collaborative outcomes.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with all senior levels of management and across all functional areas (including HR, business/function heads).
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Consistent demonstration of ownership and accountability (driven to “do the right thing”).
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented, intense environment, and across multiple time zones.
- Bachelor’s/Universitydegree or equivalent experience
