What You’ll Do
  • Oversee RN and Locum RN staffing, shift schedules, supplies, equipment, budgeting, POs, policies, emergency plans, and administrative operations of the On-Site Medical station, including locum agency coordination
  • Work with Tesla EMS paramedics to respond to acute medical emergencies, provide clinical assessments, triage, first aid, stabilization, and determine appropriate disposition, including return to work or external referrals
  • Develop, implement, and maintain medical surveillance programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and best practices, while coordinating with Industrial Hygiene (IH) to determine surveillance needs by shop
  • Maintain 90%+ compliance for required medical surveillances, track personnel status through dashboards and audit programs, and ensure timely medical clearance execution with minimal disruption to production
  • Document and update medical surveillance workflows, including physical screening requirements, vendor coordination, and process changes to ensure smooth execution
  • Educate EHS and shop leadership on medical surveillance importance, legal requirements, and health impacts, while providing first-level consultation on results to employees with concerns
  • Ensure competency and professionalism of nursing staff, manage BBP program compliance, conduct clinical reviews for OSHA recordability, and coordinate employee care transitions with external medical entities
What You’ll Bring
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California, in good standing with no disciplinary actions
  • Minimum 2 years of Supervisory clinical experience or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in emergency department, urgent care, or similar acute care environments encompassing the scope of medical and traumatic conditions
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification preferred; and mid-level practitioner
  • Supervisory clinical experience in outpatient/ambulatory settings including workplace or occupational medicine clinic. Experience with and knowledge of workers’ compensation and private medical insurance, and OSHA recordability criteria preferred
  • Current training in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
