- Drive Key Initiatives and KPIs
Lead critical initiatives that directly impact the reliability and performance of PayPal’s payments ecosystem, gaining hands-on experience acrossthe paymentsdomainevery day. - Manage Critical Incidents
Collaborate with domain owners, external partners, and vendors to triage and resolve high-priority production issues swiftly and effectively, minimizing impact on customers and merchants. - Analyze and Resolve Complex Issues
Conduct in-depth root cause analysis of bugs and incidents, delivering timely and sustainable fixes to maintain uninterrupted service. - Champion Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Challenge the status quo by introducing creative, data-driven, and automation-led solutions to enhance operational efficiency and resilience. - Develop High-Quality, Scalable Code

What do you need to bring:
- 3+ years of experience in software product development using Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
- Hands-on exposure to GCP, Python, DataProc, and scripting (any language) is a plus.
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with external partners, processors, and vendors.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a focus on root-cause identification and sustainable fixes.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex, distributed, or multi-tier applications.
- Ability to triage and resolve production issues independently, demonstrating command over PayPal’s product and system ecosystem.
- Prior involvement in operational detection, monitoring, and P0/P1 incident management activities.
- Strong business acumen and communication skills, capable of bridging technical depth with customer and stakeholder needs.
- Resourceful and collaborative, with the ability to assess impact, prioritize effectively, and drive faster resolutions that delight customers.
- Experience identifying gaps in applications, monitoring, processes, or products, and providing both short-term solutions and long-term improvements in partnership with product and technology teams.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms is preferred, especially in the context of automation and intelligent issue detection.
