What you’ll be doing:

• Collaboratively set the strategic direction of the team alongside our partners in Engineering, Operations, IT, Security, and Product groups, aiming to improve operational efficiencies and drive innovation.

• Grow and develop talent in the applications infrastructure engineering team while building and leading product execution plans.

• Aligning and leading a multi-functional team without authority, while fostering excellence and continuous process improvement.

• Continuously engage with our external partners across the organization to achieve the highest levels of product performance, efficiency, and quality. Align all parties with clear requirements and track against well-defined targets.

What we need to see:

• A Bachelors, Masters, or related computationally focused science degree (or similar experience).

• 12+ years of overall experience in software development, distributed systems and cloud computing.

• 3+ years of a senior leadership role for managing SRE or related teams.

• Experience in people management, hiring exceptional talent and building great infrastructure.

• Deep understanding of public cloud computing challenges with an emphasis on security, operational excellence and cost efficiency.

• Experience in Python, or a similar language.

• Excellent verbal, written and communications skills.

• Possess a strategic vision with good problem-solving skills.

• Exhibit strong leadership and management skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Proven track record to drive cultural and organizational change with automation towards a reliability-focused approach

• Experience with incident management, post-incident analysis, and continuous improvement processes.
