About the Role

The Supply Chain Planner II role offers significant exposure across our network of 18 sending sites and will sit at and support our Coventry Sterilization Site. You will play a pivotal role in building tools and processes from the ground up, as Coventry has not previously been part of the planning process for Boston Scientific. Additionally, this role impacts over 50% of the global volume, underscoring the significant contribution you’ll make to the organization. This role must work hybrid from our Coventry, RI office.

Your responsibilities will include:

Demand Planning:

  • Collaborate with internal operations and manufacturing site teams to develop monthly sterilization operations forecasts.
  • Aggregate forecasts from unit sales/production levels to sterilization pallet levels.
  • Partner with Global Sterilization Planning and Country Operations Groups to identify all demand sources (e.g., scheduling agreements, distributor shipments, consignment).
  • Act as the primary owner of the demand signal, consolidating and analyzing capacity constraints.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with Product Managers to evaluate past performance and future forecasts.

Supply Chain Execution:

  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly planning processes:
    • Maintain forecasts (Production Handshake).
    • Manage net requirements and monitor manufacturing execution (Schedule Adherence).
    • Provide operations capacity analysis and proactively manage service level exceptions.
    • Expedite management requirements and communications as needed.
  • Develop and facilitate regular communication forums with supplying sites and stakeholders to review forecasts, operational performance, and impacts.

New Product Launch Management:

  • Work with Global Sterilization Planning and sending sites to integrate demand for new products, acquisitions, and supply chain improvements into capacity planning.

Contribute to the Monthly S&OP Process

  • Support the achievement of performance metrics, including Service Level, Backorder, Inventory, Forecast Accuracy, Schedule Adherence, and FG Scrap.

PCD Inventory Management and Capacity Planning

  • Serve as the logistics process lead, driving and addressing process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in related roles
  • 2+ years of experience leading planning processes such as S&OE and S&OP, as well as inventory management of finished goods.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Rapid Response, MES software or similar software

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS certification or logistics studies is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Strong interpersonal and soft skills, including the ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience in SQL and Power BI
