Description
We are seeking a self-motivated engineer to join the Biophotonics group at Apple and support the development of a new photonic sensor concept. You will work with cross functional teams and develop highly automated PDK infrastructures/softwares to bridge the gap between different functions in this multi-disciplinary group. You will take advantage of your technical breadth as well as your depth of experience to explore new strategies in circuit simulations, PDK libraries, verifications and related work flows.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent fields
  • Coding skill with object-oriented programming languages (Python, Matlab, Java, etc.)
  • Experience with layout or numerical analysis and modeling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, independent and takes initiative
  • Proven track record of designing and building automated infrastructures
  • Experience with photonics design, modeling and simulation
  • Experience with semiconductor physics, fabrication processes and tapeout flows
  • Experience with physical verification methodologies including DRC/LVS
  • Hands on experience with industry standard EDA work flows, including circuit simulations, layout, extractions and verifications
  • Experience with version control (git) work flows and CI/CD pipelines
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
