You'll work in a cross-functional setting to generate the best possible metrics for our partner teams.
You’ll architect new analytics data collection, work with technical partners to design technical implementation, and build tools to streamline sign-off and continuous monitoring. We work closely with Maps Client, Engineering and Data Platform teams to find opportunities for improving data collection.
You'll build relationships across Maps data ecosystem to understand end-to-end processes and how Maps information moves from device to data repositories and dashboards.
Masters degree or PhD in a quantitative field (computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, economics, or statistics) and 2 years of work experience. Willing to consider a candidate with a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field and 5 years of experience.
2+ years industry experience building tools or custom packages in Python
2+ years of experience in object-oriented programming in Python. Will consider significant experience in a different object-oriented language (e.g. Java, Scala)
2+ years SQL experience
Experience using git for version control
Experience in designing analytic solutions to open-ended problems
Experience in building relationships across teams, communicating technical content and analytical insights to teams from various disciplines
Prior industry experience with Airflow or other scheduling technologies
Prior industry experience doing engineering system design
Prior industry experience building ETL pipelines for stakeholder consumption
Prior industry experience in full stack web application development
Prior industry experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Prior industry experience with building anomaly detection systems
Prior industry experience with Big Data using technologies like Hadoop, Hive, and Spark
Prior industry experience with building dashboards and visualizing data in technologies like Tableau, Dash, Plotly, etc.
