CO+IThe role of theConstruction Site Superintendent - Mechanical, Engineering, Plumbing (MEP)requires interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. The ability to self-direct. A background in data center design, engineering, controls, operational requirements, experience within electrical and mechanical systems. This role will provide leadership of all field related MEP mission critical activities and coordinate with Data Center Development (DCD) PM and subcontractors for proper execution.Construction Site Superintendent - (MEP)ultimately responsiblensuring that each project meets the Data Center Development guidelines and standards, which may be adjusted from time-to-time based on best practices and lessons learned fromprojects as well as industry changing best practice.TheConstruction Site Superintendent - (MEP)will coordinate site conflicts and queriesTheConstruction Site Superintendent - (MEP)the corporate vision and goals for the Project.TheConstruction Site Superintendent - (MEP)works directly for the Regional Manager of Data Center Development for the region where the data center development isand supports the strategic and tactical delivery of data center projects in the region.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in Mission Critical Facilities
  • Experience working for a General Contractor or trade.
  • Experience with Mechanical and Electrical systems to include: integrated testing, method of procedures/standard operating procedures of installation, functionality and troubleshooting.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years experience working on data center projects.
  • Experience in directing and/or supporting the commissioning effort
  • Proficient verbal and written communication Skills
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% of time
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff
  • Ability to influence cross-discipline teams
  • Construction Health & Safety Knowledge
  • Experience managing multiple large multi-faceted projects

Construction Project Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year.

Construction Project Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Create andmaintainbest practices toidentifyand incorporate cost-effective solutionsDrive deployment of solutions that can be socialized globally across DCD projects
  • Facilitatedecision-making to drive solutions, schedules, and manage change as required
  • Apply influence, strategies, and negotiation skills toidentifyoptions and recommend solution

Communication:

  • Regularly reviews cost and KPI metrics, process/policy communications to client partners
  • Provide project single point of contact for project development and delivery
  • Coordinate meetings and activities of vendors, cost managers, and integration of lessons learned
  • Attend scheduled owner/architect/contractor (OAC) and other project meetings, and report as necessary
  • Report Project Progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly or as required
  • Provide weekly project status reporting to DCD standards
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on safety,scopeand schedule
  • Direct fiscal responsibility for the approved project budget
  • Work independently in support of the DCD Project
  • Walkthe jobsite daily to ensure compliance with safety and schedule
  • Ensurethat all MEP installations meet the highest quality standards andcomply withrelevant codes, regulations, and specifications.
  • Responsible for start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting and handover of the project to operations team.

Vendor Management and contract compliance:

  • Provide Vendor (contractor) oversight and performance management
  • Managemanpower, equipment, and materials effectively to ensure that MEP installationsproceedsmoothly and according to plan. This includes coordinating deliveries, scheduling labor, and resolving resource conflicts.
  • Review and approval of vendor scope of work, design review of site and building plans
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of all MEP-related activities, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings. This documentation is essential for tracking project milestones,identifyingareas for improvement, and resolving disputes.
