Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the strategic vision and execution of the Construction and Maintenance for the adidas NAM retail fleet.
  • Maintain a strategic preach to execution and consistently communicate vertically and cross functionally to ensure alignment of internal priorities and resources are allocated appropriately to achieve desired results.
  • Partner with Construction Vendors to plan projects, create budgets, establish project timelines and milestones, and obtain the specific resources needed to successfully complete the scope of work.
  • Monitor all maintenance and construction projects with team and vendors.
  • Communicate with internal customers on a regular basis to ensure that there is a clear understanding of project progress and milestones.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and construction activities conform to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time and ideally below budget.
  • Anticipate and/or identify project issues and opportunities to proactively drive resolution.
  • Partner with Finance on an annual, quarterly, and monthly budget/forecast process.
  • Partner with HR to build the necessary skill set for the team to perform at the highest level and retain top talent.
  • Manage the monthly budget review process for individual construction projects and reporting back to Sr. Leadership team.
  • Review and approve schematic, design development, construction documents drawings, bid spreadsheets and change orders during construction.
  • Ensure building interiors and exteriors are delivered 100% accurate, on-time and the project are closed according to company guidelines.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the adidas brand values/mission and leads their team and business in accordance with the values/mission.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture in which talent development is highly prioritized, talent and succession plans are clearly identified and communicated.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain a proactive approach to strategy execution and consistently communicate vertically and cross-functionally.

  • Ability to form effective internal and external business partnerships that influence the business.
  • Extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of retail concepts and terminology.
  • Ability to operate effectively in multiple computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • An ability to prioritize amongst many competing demands to ensure that short-term goals supporting long-term initiatives are achieved with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through all channels.
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize the most complex data and develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Able to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and changes in strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and collaborate successfully with a variety of people.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and in some cases with limited notice.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working for a sporting goods and fashion retailer with a primary emphasis/responsibility of a full price business preferred.
