As an Improvement and Control Senior Associate in the data, workflow and automation team within Markets Securities Operations Asset Servicing and Post Trade Analytics, you will be here to reengineer processes, make them more efficient, controlled and ensure no leaks with the right established governance structure. You will be expected to understand the technicalities of the BAU team's work activities, as well as lead projects around Ops and Tech enhancements which involve handling various stakeholder and Business Partner meetings (from Financial and Product Control, to Ref Data and Technology, among others). Analyse business needs, process improvements, drive structure and discipline on various initiatives, compile metrics and show trends.

Job responsibilities

  • Documents business requirements, details issues and risks, Data analysis, including data collection, synthesis, and translation of results into concrete actionable solutions
  • Works with business partners to design and implement enhancements to existing processes and/or business applications, introduce new processes and/or toolsets, and engage in process re-engineering
  • Develops and implements solutions that strengthen business operating models, enhance the user experience, and improve efficiency and controls
  • Works with minimal direction/independently while keeping management informed of progress and escalating issues
  • Utilizes intelligent automation solutions to allow the team to automate functions and deliver benefits in capacity creation, risk reduction, and streamlining of operational processes
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced team members on handling complex items, analyzing current state and implementing target operating models.
  • Identifies and collaborates with key stakeholders on Objectives and Key Results (OKR), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and/or metrics to deliver benefits from operational automation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior management
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail oriented, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve project-related issues and follow through with set objectives
  • Ability to deal with different stakeholder groups to elicit business requirements, procedures, and processes
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work
  • Be a team player who shows commitment and dedication while maintaining a positive attitude and high level of performance on high profile/time-sensitive initiatives
  • Good knowledge of fixed income products, their trade lifecycle, with a focus on asset servicing aspects such as corporate actions, income events, wash accounts reconciliations, etc.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous experience using any of Alteryx, Python and VBA with the aim to build tools that analyze data, automate extraction, transformation and loading processes, and improve reporting functionalities
  • Tableau / Power BI knowledge
