As a Technical Account Manager, you will align Akamai technology for customer success and business goals. You will be an integral part of the sales cycle, to expand Akamai services adoption, ensuring growth and overall revenue retention. You will lead technical sales activities, manage customer technical relationships, and deliver on value confirmation tasks.
As a Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Designing solutions for customer's business requirements using Akamai services
- Leading sales opportunities through Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Demonstrating high standards of technical thought leadership with customers through consultation, presentation, technical evaluations, objection handling
- Managing technical proposal process and ensuring that all information that address customer requirements are accurate and detailed
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of not just Akamai's products, but also current industry trends and competitor landscape.
- Developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with key customer stakeholders
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 3 years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
- Have experience in Internet and cloud technologies, Media, Web Performance, Web architecture and design, cloud security.
- Be well-versed in technical pre-sales/sales engineering.
- Have experience with web security and in-depth knowledge of the cybersecurity space.
- Be proficient with concepts of Internet technologies, web analytics, and digital performance management solutions.
- Be an expert in developing and enhancing good client relationships
- Be a good team player with excellent presentation and communication skills
