Job responsibilities
- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
- Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
- Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert
- Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on data management concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in Java language
- Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with cloud experience.
- Understanding of Data Architectures and models across operational and analytic use cases (e.g., OLTP modeling, Star schema, Low latency analytical)
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives
- Understanding of the business
- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Data Management Practices, including Data Dictionaries & vocabularies, Lineage, Cataloging & registration, logical & physical representations of data, Data Quality
- Data Governance practices, such as evaluating metadata & data, assess for usability, standard definition, publishing standards, drift monitoring
- Focus on forward engineering practices rather than tollgates using development type artifacts / manifests rather than PPT/XLS paperwork
- Data Standards for all data publishing, regardless of operational/analytical, and how that advances the greater good
- Business architecture application methods, including mapping of business capabilities, services, processes to the information and data architecture
