Health & Safety Specialist


You are responsible for:

  • Coordinating Environmental, Health & Safety activities and EHS project in all Poland.
  • Coordinating Environmental, Health & Safety failure investigation and verify effectiveness of corrective actions implemented.
  • Providing EHS & Fire Prevention training for new employees, as well as visitors and contractors employees.
  • Maintaining and updating Philips Corporate Safety Standards
  • Performing Risks Assessments according with Philips Corporate Safety Standards and Polish legislative requirements for all activities.
  • Providing H&S support with the activities in Offices, Research and Development locations, Field Service Operations and other activities including activities at Customer and Supplier premises, trade shows, conferences, travelling on business etc.
  • Continuous Improvement of the Environmental, Safety and Health performance at the site, with the reduction/elimination of recordable incidents, to avoid fines due to not compliance with legal requirements, to enhance the Safety culture improvement.
  • Organizing and coordinating the EHS activities of the site in order to achieve the company expectation and goals.
  • Working closely with the EH&S Leader to implement EHS Plans and EHS goals for the region.
  • Implementing and coordinating the EHS Programs, Policies and Procedures for the location. Monitor and take action to ensure compliance with local EHS regulations
  • Supporting the H&S leadership team in managing H&S in Philips as required.
  • Acting as technical expert in Accident Investigation

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Higher education, necessary according to Polish legal requirements in Occupational Health and Safety;
  • More than 5 years in EHS management experience
  • Language skills: Fluency in English is required
  • Demonstrated ability to set and lead priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a global environment.
  • Strong H&S risk assessment skills
  • Experience of managing Safety Programs
  • Being familiar with Occupational Health and Safety management systems standards such as ISO 45001 is required
