We’re seeking Civil / Environmental Engineering Intern with an interest in Water Resources and Water/Wastewater Engineering to support the delivery of cutting-edge projects for both local and global clients.
As a Water Resources Intern work would include development and application of environmental and water resources analyses, to support local, regional, state, and federal water management planning and design studies; planning and design for water storage, conveyance, and distribution projects; performing research, technical writing, and development of documentation and studies as well as data collection, processing, and analysis to support water resources planning activities.
If more interested in the Water/Wastewater side of things your work could include a variety of water treatment projects including providing field investigations and water quality testing on full-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities; conducting water treatment facility pilots, desktop treatment analysis including using membrane performance projections and mass/flow balances; evaluations, design, and commissioning.

- In pursuit of a Bachelors or Master degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited program
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- 3.0 GPA
- A previous internship, teaching assistance, or research related to water/wastewater
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Self-driven time management and organizational skills
- Have or are working towards an engineer-in-training (EIT) certification
