Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior business partners, Risk, Compliance and other advisors to manage Fiduciary Governance including the most senior Fiduciary Committees on behalf of the Wealth Management Solutions Business
  • Promote an environment where fiduciary risk and control issues are escalated and trends are anticipated, identified and remediated
  • Provide fiduciary subject matter expertise to assist business partners in design and implementation of efficient, effective, repeatable processes and controls to mitigate risks for strategic business initiatives and ongoing business processes
  • Leverage fiduciary expertise and judgment to thoughtfully challenge assumptions, ways of working and operating models
  • Establish trusting partnerships and a culture of respectful, honest communication with other Control Managers and business partners as well as intersecting functional teams (e.g. Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, Internal Audit), while engaging diverse perspectives
  • Drive business readiness and serve as liaison for audit and regulatory exams
  • Identify and assess operational risks related to the US Trusts and Estates business, ensuring compliance with procedures and driving consistency of control standards and programs across the Business
  • Drive strategic solutions that create a more resilient operating environment.
  • Ensure effectiveness of key controls, review and provide feedback on control testing and draft issue and action plan language in collaboration with US Trusts and Estates stakeholders
  • Participate in key initiatives through the Change Control Forum (CCF) and New Business Initiative Assessments (NBIA) processes
  • Prepare and present materials for various forums including formal Committees

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years of work experience related to fiduciary processes or institutional financial services, and related regulations and associated risks
  • Experience structuring and driving multiple simultaneous projects to on-time completion
  • Analytic and investigative mindset; dedicated to continuously learning and continuously improving processes
  • Extremely organized, attentive to detail
  • Strong executive presence with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of Fiduciary requirements of discretionary and advisory investment products
