Microsoft Sales Manager – Display Native & Video

The individual in this role will drive revenue growth through a team of sellers and account managers accountable for selling Microsoft media and technology to agencies, brands, and partners. The individual will coach and develop solution-based sellers, will model deep cross-functional collaboration, and will demonstrate an obsession for customer relationships and business outcomes. The sales manager in this role will bring significant advertising media sales experience, strategic thinking, a passion for innovation and deep relationships in the industry, all while showing they can deliver results over time. The sales manager should have a proven track record of building, managing, and growing high-performing sales teams.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 6+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
    • ORMaster's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 5+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years direct/formal, indirect/informal, and/or project team people management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working for an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, Search Engine Marketing (SEM) platform, Demand-side Platform ( DSP), Data Management Platform (DMP), or other online advertising company.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 8+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
    • ORMaster's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND 6+ years experience in sales, marketing/advertising, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years direct/formal, indirect/informal, and/or project team people management experience.
  • Experience in digital transformation and acquisitions/systems integration
  • 8+ years of experience in a global publisher or technology company
  • Experience in the global digital advertising market, including senior agency relationships and market dynamics.

Responsibilities
  • The individual in this role will drive revenue growth through a team of sellers and account managers accountable for selling Microsoft media and technology to agencies, brands, and partners. The individual will coach and develop solution-based sellers, will model deep cross-functional collaboration, and will demonstrate an obsession for customer relationships and business outcomes.
  • You oversee and direct actions across multiple complex accounts and business areas, and manage planning and prioritization efforts across accounts. You direct and hold virtual teams accountable to lead execution and customer escalations. You proactively expand strategic network of key internal and external partners. You position yourself as a thought leader and trusted advisor to executive-level business decision makers. You proactively cultivate trusting and influential relationships with customers and direct sales teams to use sales strategies with decision makers at high levels of the customer's organization.
  • You direct and facilitate the development and delivery of compelling, value-proposition presentations. You hold team(s) accountable for developing a deep understanding of their clients. You direct and execute talent acquisition, recruiting, succession planning, and change management. You leverage a knowledge of product landscape, solutions, and strategy to address customers' needs.
