As our Pursuit Strategist you’ll support key must win and retain opportunities for the firm. Working alongside Strategic Pursuit Leaders, PSs support with the operational execution of pursuit activities including project and proposal management.
Reporting to the Pursuit Strategist Team Leader, the Pursuits Strategist:
- Focuses on pursuits for major opportunities, project managing the pursuit process and contributing to successful outcomes
- Manages client deliverables across the pursuit cycle
- Produces and delivers high-quality proposals which meet the client’s expectations and adhere to EY best practice and branding guidelines
- Transfers skills, knowledge and processes to Service Line / engagement teams
Your key responsibilities
- Execute best practices to ensure an efficient pursuit process, collaborating with the Strategic Pursuit Leader to define roles and responsibilities within pursuit teams, help communicate timelines for proposals, manage pursuit campaigns, and monitor progress, reporting to key stakeholders.
- Foster teamwork, hold members accountable for contributions, and coordinate with design and production teams to create client-centric documents.
- Develop strong relationships with internal teams to produce on-brand, budget-compliant materials and support oral presentation preparations, creation and communication of compelling value propositions, translating them into clear messaging for proposals and collateral.
- Share pursuit skills and knowledge, maintain the Pursuits and Proposals Zone, and participate in learning programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Act as a document reviewer, share insights, and mentor new Pursuit Strategists to foster a collaborative environment.
Skills and attributes for success
- 4+ years’ experience in a sales or marketing environment which must include considerable bid management / coordination experience
- Experience in professional services favourable
- Must have a strong personal presence and the ability to influence without authority
