Your responsibilities will include:
- Address business questions by leveraging robust data resources, including Medicare payment and claims data, commercial carrier claims data, clinical research information and hospital discharge data. Analyses may be used to:
- Support Medicare payment policy strategy
- Support HEOR initiatives
- Inform market models (for strategic planning or investment opportunities)
- Inform clinical trial design
- Construct calculators, tools and reports
- Develop analytic plans and provide consultative advice to achieve analytics objectives.
- Foster and maintain a collaborative relationship with cross-functional colleagues (marketing, clinical, new business development, corporate sales).
- Maintain high standards for data quality, reporting, and timely project execution.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 5 years of work experience in a technical field
- Formal training in health economics, public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics or related discipline.
- Experience analyzing and solving complex technical problems including issues with health care claims data analysis.
- Experience developing tools, reports, and other products using claims data.
- Knowledge of statistical methods
- Occasional travel is required. Estimated at <10%
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree in health policy, health economics, healthcare administration, health services research, or similar discipline (e.g. MS, MPH, MBA, MPH, MHA)
- Experience in the healthcare industry, including experience supporting reimbursement strategies for a medical device manufacturer.
- Experience analyzing Medicare MedPAR and SAF datasets
- Knowledge of SAS/SQL/Python programming
- Strong understanding of US health care policy and payment systems, including hospital and physician reimbursement.
- Interventional Cardiology industry experience
- Experience with new technology reimbursement pathways, particularly device.
Minimum Salary: $122,100
Maximum Salary: $232,000
