Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, another relevant field, or equivalent work experience. Graduate degree is a plus
- 7+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field
- 2+ years of experience leading junior design team members
- Deep knowledge of user experience methods, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-framing skills and design principles
- Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying human-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, data analytics, data science, and user research. Seasoned in Agile development processes.
- Understand business and user experience performance metrics, and how it impacts the design direction and learning plan
- Exemplary ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams/groups/functions through facilitative leadership to deliver great results and to "raise the bar" continually as an effective leader of positive change
- Proven track record in leading with a clear vision for complex end-to-end user experiences, inspiring others to get behind the vision, and ultimately delivering products and services that are known for their delightful experience and ease of use
- Experience designing for and working with design systems and reusable component libraries
- Organized, self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner
- Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
- Mastery of design tools such as Figma, and skilled in creating 'lo-fi' prototypes to share with users in a fast, iterative manner
- A well-presented online portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design craft and collaborative process
