We now are in requirement of a Commercial Manager.

  • Oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of the Contracts Group, including contract and subcontract administrators and compliance personnel.
  • Willing to work 6 days per week on site.
  • Aids in negotiating contract terms from the proposal stage through to project completion, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Manages the approval process for negotiations, contracts, and subcontracts in collaboration with appropriate management staff.
  • Offers guidance and interpretation of contract requirements.
  • Reviews solicitation requests to ensure they meet terms and conditions.
  • Assists in preparing and reviewing cost proposals, including pricing, scheduling details, and risk assessment.
  • Drafts consulting agreements.
  • Adjusts contract schedules and engages in vendor agreement negotiations as needed.
  • Ensures timely submission of technical reports and deliverables.
  • Collaborates with program managers to ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Contributes to the development of internal policies for contract and subcontract administration.
  • Provides supervision, guidance, and leadership to less-experienced contracts/subcontracts administrators and managers.
  • Keeps up-to-date with relevant contractual procedures and practices.
  • Participates in special projects.
  • Oversees and ensures compliance with small business programs for federal, state, and local government contracts.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Applies acquired and diverse knowledge and experience in contracts administration and coordination of related activities.
  • Uses independent judgment to analyze contracts and reports to determine requirements and compliance needs, receiving direction on complex administrative problems and potential solutions.
  • Directly supervises Contracts/Subcontracts professionals.
  • Interfaces with project team members, as well as Legal and Finance professionals and administrative staff.
  • Frequently communicates with client representatives, contractors, and regulatory agency personnel to coordinate the flow of records.
Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction management, Architecture, engineering, or similar.
  • Relevant certification may be required.
  • Advanced understanding of construction processes, principles, materials, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership abilities.
  • Great time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to communicate clearly.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
