You will:

• Influence ID/CMF selections during products concept phase at a material and product level. Define approved solutions based on the product design and the technology capability.
• Develop and own technology roadmap for injection molding, die casting and thixomolding for 3-4 yrs out enabling design objectives.
• Lead molding technology incubations as required by the molding technology roadmap. Conduct NUDD investigations as required to meet design objectives during concept phase.
• Create strategic engagements with our external technology suppliers and partners. Able to influence their technology roadmaps to align with DELL's objectives.
• Define production requirements and specifications for molded plastic and magnesium parts.

Essential Requirements

• Deep expertise in injection molding, die casting and thixomolding process plus tooling related to each process.
• Expertise in laser texturing, RHCM technology (rapid heat and cool molding), and other related adjacent molding technologies.
• Ability to work in and be successful in highly matrixed organization structures to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Lead understanding of latest CMF technologies and the applicability to DELL’s roadmap
• Ability to drive engineering rigor and best practices within the team
• Experience with DELL's product development cycle with a proven track record brining new technologies from idea to reality.
• Successfully able excel in environments with ambiguity.

Desirable Requirements

• A minimum of 12+ yrs of experience with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience with typical finishes used for electronics: Paint, Anodizing, etc
• Experience working in electronics supply chain in an ODM model.
