As a Technology Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Providing engineering resources and support for manufacturing, laboratory, and other areas of responsibility
• Responsible for staffing, workload forecasting, and succession planning within the group
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure alignment with project objectives
• Contributing to the development of corporate engineering resources and technical expertise through the recruiting, hiring, and ongoing training of group personnel
• Managing the creation, development, and application of technology to meet future business needs
• Identifying and addressing gaps in technical expertise
• Playing a key role in generating and maintaining 3M's intellectual property
• Providing direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, coaching, training and development, allocating work assignments, review of progress in achieving objectives, managing employee compensation, performance appraisals, diversity, disability, all relevant employee data, etc.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or related discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
• Eight (8) years of experience working in a technical, manufacturing, and/or engineering environmentin a private, public, government or military environment
• Five (5) years of experience managing technical individuals in a manufacturing or engineering environment
