Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a junior member of the CIAT team which provides independent review and challenge of regulatory capital policies and RWA technical interpretations for Citigroup firmwide.
• Provide support for Basel III RWA subject matter experts across a range of exposure/product types and in the development of regulatory capital and risk policies.
• Within and across Basel exposure types, provide support to senior members of CIAT staff during the second line of defense (i) review and approval process with respect to the proper regulatory capital interpretations and RWA treatment of complex financing transactions, and (ii) determination of risk mitigation benefits. The analyses typically include reviewing legal documents, risk approval memos, risk rating methodologies and financial accounting treatment.
• Provide back-up support for CIAT’s daily governance process management activities.
• Develop understanding of Citi’s capital management and risk management policies, systems, infrastructure and data requirements.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

• Excellent academic record preferably in finance or accounting.
• Minimum Bachelor’s level qualification with 6+ years of work experience in the financial industry.
• Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to decompose complex concepts into simple concepts and clearly articulate them to a broader audience
• Be organized, disciplined and detail oriented.
• Highly motivated, self-starter who can operate both independently and as a member of a global team
• Experience in Risk Management is preferred (including knowledge of Citi’s organizational structure and risk policies).
• Initially, the individual must have a basic knowledge of Basel III concepts and related RWA calculations. Over time, the individual must become proficient in the US Basel III rules and Citi's capital policies.
