As an Associate within the Capital Advisory Group, you will be expected to have suitable experience within the financial services industry, specifically managing relationships with institutional-level clients that invest in alternative investments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise hedge fund managers on capital formation strategy and institutional investors on hedge fund manager selection
  • Act as a key resource to introduce alternative investment managers to qualified institutional investors, such as endowments, foundations, pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and various private wealth channels
  • Employ rigorous data analysis to draw key insights on industry trends that range from fees & terms structures to industry flows
  • Generate thought leadership content pieces

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 2+ years of relevant full-time work experience
  • SIE Exam and Series 7 must be acquired
  • Fundamental understanding of alternative investments, specifically regarding portfolio construction strategy and due diligence processes for hedge fund manager selection
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and communication skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex subject matter effectively
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Investment banking, sales & trading, secondary advisory, investing or hedge fund marketing background is strongly preferred
  • CAIA designation is a plus
