As an AI Data Technical Program Manager, you will work at the nexus of model development, business priorities, and responsible AI. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and responsible use of data to support our research priorities. As part of this you will be responsible for organizing, securing, and tracking our data assets.

We’re looking for someone with effective data management skills and an abundance of positive energy, empathy, and kindness. To succeed in this role, you will need high attention to detail, excellent Excel and database management skills, superb judgment, and project management experience. The right candidate takes the initiative and enjoys diving into the details to ensure the right outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in data analysis in Excel and governance, product/technical program management, complex program management, or consulting
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in leading multi-disciplinary projects, defining requirements, developing project plans and working with technical teams to execute them
  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year experience using Generative AI technology in production use (example: data analysis and project management)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in data analysis and governance, product/technical program management, complex program management, or consulting
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Experience in managing large data sets in sophisticated excel files, PowerBI or other equivalent databases.

Responsibilities
  • Help ensure the safe, compliant, responsible, and agile use of data to support our research priorities.
  • Help support data onboarding and availability.
  • Organize tracking our data assets so that they are auditable and compliant.
  • Help the team better understand the state of training data within Microsoft AI and across Microsoft.
  • Help the engineering data tooling team develop requirements based on R&D team needs.
  • As needed, manage aspects of data acquisition across business, transactional, and sourcing needs.
  • Help other Microsoft AI building teams access data for training as needed.
