As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

What You’ll Do:

• Plan, implement, and grow the AWS cloud infrastructure. This includes building, releasing, and managing production systems, and troubleshooting system issues.

• Configure and maintain Amazon Web Solutions, and provide support for clients..

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies

• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community

• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment

• Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Ruby and Go, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (Internship experience does not apply)

• At least 2 years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

• At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in System Release Engineering ( Pyspark, Yaml, AWS services, Jenkins, IAM roles and policy and Serverless Framework / Lambda & ECS Fargate)

• 2+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go

• 3+ years of experience with AWS

• Experience using DevOp tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, GitHub, Jenkins, and Kubernetes

• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks

• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

• 2+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible

• 2+ years of experience with container orchestration services including Docker or Kubernetes
