The Power and Energy industry is at a junction whereby divergent paths are emerging, with quite distinct future scenarios. Aligned with our Denver, CO office, this is a hybrid position where you can work remotely and in the office. You will have the opportunity to contribute to and manage projects and programs to avoid and minimize environmental impact while accelerating change through renewable energy, energy infrastructure, and energy transformation projects. As an Environmental Permitting and Planning Project Manager, you will lead environmental permitting and related efforts to support project development and meeting client objectives and project-specific internal financial goals. Your analytical and writing skills will be called upon as you lead development of quality client deliverables. Your project management or task leadership will include permit strategy and impact avoidance and minimization, permit applications, client communication, technical memos, and environmental compliance documents. You will provide motivation and direction to project teams while you in turn are partnered with experience project delivery and technical leaders and mentors to facilitate your project and career priorities. Our global team provides you with the tools to keep your career growing as well as those around you.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, environmental science, environmental planning, or other related technical degree.

• Renewable energy and infrastructure modernization for a sustainable world as a career focus.

• 3 to 7 years project management/task lead experience with a work history of increasing responsibility for resource planning and/or environmental permitting in the West.

• Specific training, knowledge, and experience necessary to develop, review, and coordinate project permit applications under city, county and state requirements in Colorado and Wyoming.

• Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including Wyoming Industrial Siting Act and BLM and USACE requirements; knowledge of environmental regulatory processes and permit compliance.

• Ability to charter and lead a project or task team with a focus on safety, client service and internal delivery goals.

• Ability to foster relationships with large project teams, clients, client contractor, staff, and third-party consultants.

• Ability to work in the western US, travel occasionally to a client office, and travel to project sites.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Master’s degree in natural resources, environmental science, environmental planning, or other related technical degree.

• Experience with the environmental consulting industry managing energy or power infrastructure, renewable energy, linear infrastructure, or other related projects.

• Experience working in other western United States, including Montana, Idaho, California, Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada.
