Your new job | About your main responsibilities
You will rapidly build a mix of hard and soft skills during projects. You will gain experience creating data-backed analysis and insights, learn what makes software companies tick, hone your ability to craft a compelling narrative and present findings to senior executives, and manage and mentor others on your team. You will have a seat at the table with CEOs and investors, helping these clients make more informed decisions and gaining first-hand insights into how investors and management teams operate and make decisions.
As a Manager, you will have an important role in the execution of software strategy engagements. You will gain experience in creating data-backed analysis and insights and manage and mentor others on your team. Your responsibilities:
- Manage projects and day-to-day problem solving together with your team and motivate your team to work together on common challenges.
- Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction throughout the engagement cycle and uphold high-quality deliverables to drive recurring engagements.
- Perform commercial and technical analysis and translate findings into financial implications, being able to present outcomes to a non-technical audience.
- Coach and lead the professional and personal development of your team members.

- Product strategy and roadmap: EY-Parthenon teams analyze product roadmaps and provide recommendations to enhance commercial positioning, packaging, and pricing using market and competitive research.
- Technology strategy and roadmap: We help companies build suitable tech strategies and architecture roadmaps to meet growth targets, incorporating internal efforts and new technologies.
- Software development effectiveness: The team assesses software development capacities, talent, and processes, offering actionable recommendations to improve productivity, timeliness, quality, and alignment with corporate strategy
- Product and technology diligence: SSG provides top-tier product and technology diligence, assessing product capabilities, roadmaps, software architecture, technical debt, and associated processes.
- Integrated diligence: EY-Parthenon teams combine product and technology diligence with commercial due diligence, analyzing market segments, competition, purchasing dynamics, and pricing to offer a cohesive view of the target investment's growth potential.
Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution
- Minimum five years of experience with either strategy consulting, project-based work in a software (-driven) sector, or work in software engineering.
- Experience in working as a senior team member on projects for corporates and/or private equity investors.
- Ability to understand, assess and conclude on software products, their market positioning, competitors and customers by using research tooling and market information.
- Excellent problem solving, project coordination, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
