Seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Risk Strategy team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing loss and driving growth for Venmo and PayPal. You will leverage advanced data analytics and machine learning to detect fraud patterns, design risk solutions, and support new product launches. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data science models and algorithms.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Optimize data processes for efficiency and performance.
  • Perform advanced statistical analysis and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
  • Strong proficiency in analytical tools and languages such as SQL, Python,BigQuery, Machine learning and data visualization tools (e.g.,Tableau, Power BI)
  • Proven track record in the field of data analysis or statistical analysis
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Work Permit and Relocation Prerequisites: Must already possess valid authorization to work in the country where the position is advertised/located. Relocation support will not be provided for this role

The US national annual pay range for this role is $100,500 to $173,250
