Design control systems for utility and building systems that support all production facilities and infrastructure. Examples include process utilities, HVAC, electrical, and building automation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify the problem and derive system requirements. Sketch out solutions for control systems and contribute to P&ID diagrams, Cause & Effect matrix and Sequence of Operation documents.
Develop control system design in detail including instrumentation selection, wiring diagrams (EPLAN) and Bill of Materials.
Cross-check control system designs with control engineers and field engineers for feasibility, improvements, and best use of resources on site.
Ensure compliance with design systems to standards, codes and regulations.
Drive the development of internal standards to unify equipment, sensor and instrumentation selection.
Manage documentation and design of the controls scope in exchange with other disciplines. Ensure documentation is meeting internal standards, it is available for execution and is updated after execution as-built.
Bring improvements to documentation and drawing standards to the team to improve overall workflows.
