EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will have to drive the architecture and design high quality product components in alignment with the key stakeholders that will be implemented by scrum teams
You will need to have a good understanding of the concepts of designing and developing microservices and their deployments into different runtimes like Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry in a containerized environment

Work closely with SAP data scientists to understand their projects and their needs. • Create high level requirements and designs.
Define and implement architectural / coding best practices and participate in software design and code reviews with the development team consisting of frontend-, backend-, full-stack, Dev-Ops and ML engineers.
Support the product team with technical feasibility analysis, solution proposals, and ballpark effort estimations, guide developers while giving them space to learn and grow
Support customer workshops and engagements with holistic architecture and solution integration expertise • Communicate with central architecture teams inside SAP for software design and integration tasks
Stay on top of technology trends and actively participate in the SAP Expert community to share knowledge.
You will need to understand the data privacy regulations and the impact on using data for training purpose and develop solutions that adhere to the AI Ethics
Work closely together with a global team of professionals to ensure successful execution of the project
Contribute to development with the team members and in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions with other engineers
Understand the requirements from the consumers and design solutions that can work within the existing constraints of the platform and landscape
Mentor developers on software design, coding best practices and on latest technologies.

WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

10-15 years of experience in Software Engineering with at least 5+ years of professional experience as developer.
Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or other relevant disciplines.
Proven ability to work in an agile Environment using SCRUM methodology, cloud concepts and technologies with excellent design, developing, deploying, and testing multi-tenant business applications in the cloud with a focus on backend infrastructure.
Good understanding of microservices architecture, deployment environments, configuration of applications, change management principles.
Experience in developing data-driven microservices, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, TDD, hands-on experience with docker containers and Kubernetes, familiar with one of the cloud providers.
Experience of Machine Learning models and NLP techniques like BERT, Transformers, Sentence Transformers
Experience in designing efficient and high-throughput software architectures
Experience working with RAG technologies and LLM frameworks (LangChain and LlamaIndex), LLM model registries (Hugging Face), LLM APIs
Knowledge of Python libraries like Pandas, Scikit-Learn, NumPy, spaCy is required
Understanding of Machine Learning libraries and services like TensorFlow, PyTorch or Amazon SageMaker and in their optimized usage in production
Strong communication and collaboration skills, With the ability to work effectively in cross-cultural Teams.
