Your impact
As an
Pompano Beach, FL, you’ll perform regular roadside inspections of the Turnpike System, working outdoors in variable conditions; and requires extensive overnight travel throughout the state. This person will work as part of a two-person team performing roadside surveys and inspections. In this role, you will conduct Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) field survey of Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise roadway assets and provide condition ratings as per the standards outlined in the MRP handbook.
- Monitor and participate in the evaluation effort of random sample points selected by the State Maintenance Office. FDOT procedures 850-065-002 and 375-000-005
- Surveys are conducted in three (3#) cycles/periods within each fiscal year.
- Record results in the state’s (FDOT) data system and check for accuracy.
- Attend annual MRP Consistency Workshop.
- Conduct periodic site specific MRP survey as requested by the Turnpike Enterprise Maintenance Engineer or Project Manager
Roadway Characteristics Inventory
- Provide as directed, routine field inventory of roadway assets maintained by the Turnpike’s maintenance department as per the RCI handbook and update the records in the FDOT system.
Additional Duties
- Perform roadway inspection and provide report on asset conditions to support maintenance work needs scheduling.
- Perform quality checks on GIS data to ensure information is consistent with actual field installations.
- Provide as needed support in the collection and update of GIS inventory.
- Assist in the performance of the Facilities Rating Program (FRP) inspections as needed.
- Provide additional support to Roadway and Facilities Maintenance for miscellaneous efforts as directed by management.
