As an
Advanced Electrical Engineer - EMC,here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading the design and development of complex electrical systems and components. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will also be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, analyzing technical requirements, and implementing electrical engineering strategies and best practices.

You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Mississauga, Ontario location on a hybrid work schedule.

Key responsibilities:

In this visible, design and developing technical role, you will be responsible for the following:

• Design and implement EMC solutions for products to meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications, including design for High Intensity Radiated Fiels (HIRF), Lightning and ESD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute EMC design plans and EMC Design best practices in all aspects of the product design (mechanical, printed board assembly layout and routing, interconnect, signal integrity)
• Perform EMC analysis to inform the electrical and mechanical design to ensure successful completion of the EMC requirement verification and to identify and resolve issues as needed.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve EMC-related problems.
• Ensure compliance with EMC standards and regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EMC design processes and efficiency
• This position may require occasional business-related travel within Canada or globally.

You must have:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant field of study
• Minimum of 4 years experience in EMC-related field

We value:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and principles
• Experience with EMC design in aerospace or defense industries and familiarity with EMC standards e.g. DO-160, MIL-STD-461, etc.
• Experience in EMC simulation and modeling tools (examples include use of LTspice, Mathcad, ANSYS, EMA3D)
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
