What you'll do...

As a Software Engineer III on the Order Intake team, you will use your passion for technology along with your Java and Cloud skillsets to build and maintain applications that make the pharmacy associate's job easier and facilitates the secure and rapid movement of prescriptions in and out of the pharmacy while ensuring we meet or exceed all HIPAA, Legal, and Compliance requirements throughout the process. Additionally, you will be working with technologists that solve some of the most complex problems at Walmart and building solutions that impact millions of patients and associates in the Health & Wellness Pharmacy area.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, build, and enhance Cloud-based applications using Java and Python.
  • Build dashboards, alerts using Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, etc. to monitor applications.
  • Bring a deep curiosity to find and analyze the root cause of any critical business and production issues.
  • Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), Testing or any other process (as applicable)
  • Implement telemetry features as required independently. Ensure HIPAA security and privacy policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration.
  • Identify short- and long-term goals, reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions, performing design and code reviews.
  • Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to influence the architecture and design of software and help bring quality and optimization into the design of the product.
  • Take initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies both in the company and industry and be able to utilize them to good effect.


What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years experience in full stack development of highly scalable applications.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and databases - including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL .
  • Proficiency in back-end technologies and developing APIs using Java, Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms: Azure/GCP is a plus.
  • Knowledge and working experience on CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Maven, Junit, Jenkins, Docker, Sonar and log monitoring tools like Splunk.
  • Experience in developing robust, high-performance and scalable applications using REST API, API, Spring Boot and knowledge on Microservices development.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS or React Native.
  • Self-directed, well organized, have good follow-up skills & ability to quickly adapt to change.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Knowledge and experience on Agile (Scrum) practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: - Stock Minimum Qualifications...
