What will you be doing?
In this role, you’ll design and deliver large-scale, high performance production distributed database systems for durably ingesting, storing and query data. You will have a significant bottom-line impact on our business results. You will have the opportunity to develop deep expertise in areas like distributed systems, storage engines, open source applications and performance optimization, and contribute to the leading open source big data and analytic frameworks.
This position may involve on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.Mentorship & Career Growth

Basic qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentVancouver, BC, CAN

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
