Primary Responsibilities
- Develop product strategy and roadmap that delivers on our Zero Trust Access security mission and priorities with a focus on the next generation of BIG-IP APM.
- Prioritize customer value in the development of next-generation BIG-IP software with a focus on Access Policy Manager (APM).
- Build strong business cases and product plans that earn executive buy in and approvals through the Product Lifecycle Management stage gates
- Interview customers in various industries to understand use cases, desired capabilities, and problem statements
- Define product requirements with market alignment to assure the right product is being built
- Work closely with a technical PM and Engineering to deliver new features with velocity
- Prioritize security features and standards taking into consideration market trends, customer needs and competitive differentiation
- Perform market and competitive analysis to anticipate trends and identify opportunities
- Develop product consumptions and licensing models, pricing strategies and forecasts
- Design and develop customer journey maps to make customer experience a key F5 differentiator
- Create GTM plans that drive cross-functional execution to assure successful product launches
- Evangelize products to ensure internal stakeholders understand the value propositions and use cases and Sales is enabled to sell and win
- Develop and deliver compelling product positioning with clear competitive differentiation presenting to all audiences including executives, customers, partners and analysts
- Be a positive team member who goes beyond oneself and elevates the performance of the entire team
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
- Proven track record as a strategic business-minded product manager with experience in enterprise security products
- Ability to straddle across strategy, technical and execution in product delivery
- Solid understanding of networking, application delivery and application security concepts
- Experience with BIG-IP with a focus on BIG-IP APM use cases
- Knowledge of the data plane and control plane and Zero Trust security concepts
- Understanding of Kubernetes, containers, microservices and related environments, and cloud native ecosystem
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or lead others on projects
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and persuasion skills
- 15+ years of experience in product management with relevant industry experience
- 10+ years of experience in security domain
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field required. Graduate degree in business or engineering is a plus
- Security certification is a plus

The annual base pay for this position is: $195,823.00 - $293,735.00
