PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Customer Experience Solution Portfolio is designed to offer businesses an integrated approach to delivering real-time experiences to customers across all digital channels. Customers can exchange information, such as customer data, between various systems to produce a 360-degree view of the customer. The following SAP products are included in the SAP Customer Experience LoB: SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Service Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud, and SAP Customer Data Cloud.

Expectations & Tasks

  • Responsible for highly complex/visible pre-sales and/or post-sales support of company products/systems.
  • Provides advanced-level technical support to complex sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Provides answers to customer / internal SAP team inquiries concerning advanced solution topics focusing on driving customer success and business outcomes.
  • Supports regional and offshore Solution Experience teams in building demos based on customer requirements to demonstrate the application's feasibility, often requiring rapid prototyping.
  • Will participate in demo system design, planning, and spec-out configuration requirements if needed.
  • Quickly establishes oneself as the thought leader of the VAT and fine-tunes account strategy.
  • Guides team in creating overall theme & competitive differentiation (value wedges).
  • Executes vigorous dry runs on strategic deals and customer engagements.
  • Effectively transitions engagement to implementation partner / Field Services.
  • Is proactively sharing their knowledge with the greater PreSales community through Solution Hubs or other enterprise social media where collaboration occurs.
  • Has broad knowledge of the SAP solution portfolio and the ability to cover discussions and provide a point of view across the SAP portfolio.
  • Has deep knowledge of the SAP Customer Experience solution portfolio – to demonstrate many/all products within at least one central solution area.
  • Knows multiple Industries and can provide Industry specific solutions, insights, and perspectives to our customers.

Experience & Language Requirements

  • 3+ years of presales experience.
  • 3 + years of solution specialist (or equivalent customer-facing) experience in areas appropriate to the job.
  • Demonstrates 10+ successful engagements.
  • Expert knowledge/expertise on end-to-end processes/solution matching.
  • Experience in sales and sales processes.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and German.
  • Business level local language: expert.

Education

  • Bachelor equivalent: minimum requirement.
  • Master equivalent: optional.
  • MBA / Ph.D.: optional.
