RESPONSIBILITIES:
Market and execute all capital raising transactions which may include the following activities:
Identify the opportunity (may leverage existing Capital One origination capabilities)
Develop the appropriate capital structure solution
Create the placement strategy and marketing materials
Identify the targeted investors
Run placement process / pitch investors
Finalize terms and work with issuer/investors to close deal
Common capital structure solutions include but are not limited to:
Direct equity co-invest
Mezzanine or HoldCo debt placements
Advisory on Initial public offerings, follow-on, SPAC, and PIPE transactions
Maintain, efficiently manage, and grow a database of investors / capital providers to support advisory transactions
Build, review, and/or maintain any necessary financial sponsor models and assumptions
Leverage both the Capital One platform and external professional networks to source a continuous flow of advisory based opportunities
Work closely with Capital One’s LOB leaders and RMs to effectively identify Capital One clients that could benefit from this team’s capabilities
Collaborate with internal partner teams (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Business Analytics, Compliance, Legal, and more) to ensure smooth and efficient team operations and execution
Leverage internal resources to create and maintain team pitch materials (internal and external), consistent branding, go-to-market strategy, hosted client events, industry panels, and any press releases
Help review and approve financial reporting and monthly business reports
Work with the Head of Capital Solutions to help create the short, medium, and long-term vision and growth plan for the team
Work with the Head of Capital Solutions to help set Revenue targets / budget for the team
Maximize revenue opportunities while maintaining Capital One’s unique culture and values
Complete any required people leader functions
Travel will be required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 7 years of experience in strategic and capital raising services
At least 7 years of capital advisory experience
At least 7 years of experience developing financial models
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA or Masters Degree
At least 10 years of experience in strategic and capital raising services
At least 10 years of capital advisory experience
At least 10 years of experience developing financial models
At least 3 years of leadership experience
