What do you need to know about the role:


In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Build and execute account strategies to grow the commercial and strategic relationship with some of PayPal’s largest global partners.

  • Own and drive revenue growth by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities, product opportunities, and to jointly develop plans aimed at attaining partner needs, PayPal strategic objectives and assigned revenue quotas.

  • Build and execute account strategies to grow the commercial and strategic relationship with some of PayPal’s largest global partners.

  • Own and drive revenue growth by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities, product opportunities, and to jointly develop plans aimed at attaining partner needs, PayPal strategic objectives and assigned revenue quotas.

  • Accountable for assigned portfolio of partners, and owns senior strategic relationships, positioning themselves as a trusted advisor.

  • Negotiate or renegotiate favorable commercial terms, contracts and agreements that create sustainable, long-term value for all parties.

  • Close collaboration with internal stakeholders across PayPal Inc. globally such as product specialists, integration engineers, finance, pricing, legal, risk, sales operations, marketing and other teams as appropriate to achieve target results.

  • Accelerate results through superior pipeline management, up-to-date pipeline reporting, navigating internal and external product roadmaps, and influencing resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage pipelines, accurately forecast revenue, and report on sales activities and outcomes.

  • Leverage competitive and industry insights to refine account strategies and influence PayPal’s broader business initiatives.

  • Understand complex technology solutions that span mobile, e-commerce, point of sale, processing, and other interfaces to design comprehensive and meaningful consumer experiences that drive business results for global merchants.

  • Identify opportunities to increase PayPal’s share of checkout and influence merchants to adopt recommended optimization strategies that will increase overall PayPal awareness.

  • Prepare and give business reviews to PayPal and partner senior leadership.

  • Inspire collaboration, adaptability, and continuous learning within the team to deliver exceptional outcomes for merchants and PayPal.

What do you need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in account management, sales, or client success ideally within payments or fintech, with a focus on driving merchant growth and retention.

  • A deep understanding of e-commerce, merchant services, and payment solutions, with familiarity in fintech products and digital platforms as a strong advantage.

  • Proven success managing high-value accounts, delivering strategic account plans, and achieving sales quotas through retention, upsell, and cross-sell efforts.

  • Expertise in building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior executives, acting as a trusted advisor to align merchant goals with organizational solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations, to deliver seamless and innovative customer experiences.

  • Strong knowledge of the payments industry, including competitive landscape, market trends, and merchant needs, to shape and refine strategic account initiatives.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and securing mutually beneficial outcomes in complex deal structures.

  • Analytical and strategic thinker with a proven ability to identify growth opportunities, address complex challenges, and deliver measurable business results.

  • Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage pipelines, forecast revenue, and report on sales activities with accuracy.

  • Collaborative and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering exceptional outcomes..

  • Superior relationship building and exceptional consultative sales skills with a passion and hunger to win.

  • Executive presentation skills; including in-person, written, and verbal. Full Proficiency in both English and Mandarin essential.
