As a Technology Support III team member in the Corporate Technology, Infrastructure Support team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.
Job responsibilities
- Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
- Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
- Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
- Identity issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
- Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure
- Providing a 24 x 7 coverage for the backup Operation function which is the primary contact point for backup service incident, change and restore support activities.
- Providing effective data protection support including accurate problem identification, request documentation and customer/vendor dialogue.
- Engaging with customers and Infrastructure Platform teams via incident tickets, service request tools, emails, instant messaging and telephone.
- Partnering with backup engineering teams to drive resolution for customer requests.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
- Flexible for shift work: Day shift - Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat. Shift Timing - 7am to 6pm EST or 11am to 10pm EST (Must be in the office 3 days a week)
- Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
- Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
- Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Experience with Backup Operations in Netbackup / CommVault / Cohesity.
- Experience in scripting (shell, Perl, python etc. ) to automate the backup service requirement.
- Typically 5+ years of experience in distributed storage environments OR 3+ years of experience in an associated technology (Server, Networks)
- AIX/Solaris/HPUX & Windows platform management experience
- IBM, Oracle automated tape library & STK silo problem management experience
- Experience with SAN a plus (Cisco/Brocade switches, EMC VMAX or Symmetrix, HDS AMS)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting
- Working understanding of public cloud
