As a(n) Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Provide engineering support to our maintenance and operation teams within respective departments for continuous chemical coating applications and foam making to a final product.
  • Lead area mechanical engineering and provide support for achieving plant’s safety, customer, quality, sustainability, and profit objectives.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Chemical or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • CAD Software proficiency

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Current, valid Driver’s License.
  • P&ID drafting, piping plan drawings
  • Ability to create easy to read blueprints to support fabrication teams.
  • Draw plans to match existing real-world parts through reverse engineering.
  • Knowledge of tension control, trimming, slitting, winding, wrinkling, web breaks, surface treatment, coatings, and steering/guiding
  • Skills include, problem-solving, good time management, team work
