EY is looking for Senior Analyst for Tax – Accounting Compliance and Reporting (ACR) practice. As a part of this team, you will be required to manage and monitor day to day operations related to client’s engagements, possess complete knowledge of managing core Accounting, Payroll & compliance functions.
Your key responsibilities
- Maintain a portfolio of clients, prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ensure proper and timely accounting, periodic closing, MIS / dashboard for activity tracking / deliverables to clients.
- Working knowledge of tax provisions from accounting perspective viz TDS, Payroll compliances, Advance tax computation etc.
- Periodic review of General ledger, books of account to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Plan and prepare schedule for financial closing for multiple clients / a large client.
- Preparation of Financial statements, Tax Audit report and related schedules along with relevant back up (as per IGAAP for small clients).
- Lead and Manage end to end audit for the client including liaison with Auditors & clients, follow up for audit issues and implement corrective action if any.
- Review all the capitalised items and date of capitalisation as well as the expenses associated with the assets capitalised.
- Review the vendor payment /employee reimbursement advice.
- Review the debtor/creditor/bank reconciliations prepared
- Review of Prepaid expense tracker
- Review the funds position and keep the management informed.
- Prepare Interest working on Fixed Deposits &/or on Borrowings.
- Prepare Fixed Assets Register and calculation of depreciation.
- Prepare month end provisions
- Payroll review-first cut (wherever applicable)
- Prepare the BS accounts reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Prepare GST workings and reconcile with books
- Prepare monthly/quarterly MIS
- Handling routine vendor/customer/client queries.
- Coordination with tax teams for routine work
Skills and attributes for success
- Good knowledge on capitalization, computation of depreciation under companies Act and Income tax act, various tax provisions for assets etc.
- Knowledgeable on IGAAP, accounting and related aspects.
- Exposure to IndAS is desirable.
- Experience in MIS with strong Excel, Power Point skills
- Strong Accounting & Payroll Knowledge, being well versed in all statutory compliances
- Self-starter who is target-driven and motivated - must be comfortable to work in a matrix organization and a target oriented environment.
- Strong logical and analytical skills
- Tech savvy with a flair for process automation for efficiency
- Stakeholder management - multifaceted with an ability to manage multiple clients for accounting, Standalone Financial statements, Tax audit etc.
- Good oral and written communication skills for liaison with client, client partners, statutory auditor's and other stakeholders.
- Should be a team player with a proactive & result oriented approach
- Problem solving and conflict management skills.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A Chartered Accountant and any additional qualification would be an added advantage
- 3 - 7 years of work experience in core finance & payroll function, with experience in preparation of Financial Statements, Tax Audit
- Experience in managing client facing finance team preferably in a consulting organization or well diversified Industry experience
- Work experience in SAP / ERP environment would be preferred
