What you'll do...
Responsibilities...
- Design and develop high-quality user interfaces and mobile applications using React Native and backend using Java, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and prioritize project requirements.
- Write clean, modular, and well-documented code that adheres to Walmart’s coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure the highest quality of software development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in full stack development and make recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with QA engineers to ensure that all software is thoroughly tested and meets the highest standards of quality.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as DevOps and Infrastructure, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the engineering team.
Requirements...
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on full stack development using React Native and Java.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React Native, Java, and related technologies such as Redux, React Router, and GraphQL.
- Experience with modern front-end build tools such as Webpack and Babel.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as RESTful APIs, and Java-based technologies.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have...
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with other relevant technologies such as TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, and testing frameworks such as Jest and Enzyme.
- Familiarity with Walmart’s technology stack and existing software applications.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
