Your key responsibilities

  • Follow EY’s evidence-based learning design processes to design new materials (aligned with major Mercury enhancements) and re-design existing materials that comprise the global Mercury learning curriculum
  • Apply a performance-focused approach to instructional design, identifying root causes of performance gaps and recommending the most effective learning or non-learning interventions
  • Assessing the impact of Mercury training programs and materials on users’ performance and adjusting to improve effectiveness.
  • Maintaining and updating training materials, ensuring they are relevant, accurate, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct instructional design quality reviews on new and existing learning solutions using the EY Design Quality Checklist
  • Ensure written quality of learning content and proof-read learning materials to ensure consistency
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure finished materials are authored as specified
  • Research emerging learning technologies and provide guidance on how to implement within the Mercury learning curriculum

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write effective instructional text, audio and video scripts and other design documents
  • Excellent influencing skills and executive presence; maturity to interact with senior business leaders, high level SMRs, and workstream leads
  • Experience using learning science and evidence-based design standards and practices to ensure that the Mercury learning content is of the highest quality and has the desired business impact
  • A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to use learning technology and tools, desktop applications, and relevant knowledge tools
  • Willingness to be part of a global team, including working alternative hours when required
  • Ideally, you’ll also have demonstrable experience with:
  • Designing eLearning that aligns with digital accessibility guidelines
  • Using tools like Articulate 360, Camtasia, digital adoption platforms and Gen AI, or similar course authoring software
  • Design and produce high-quality instructional videos using Adobe Creative Suite tools (After Effects)
  • Managing change initiatives in global, matrix organizations
  • Working in fast-paced environments to deliver required results
