As aprofessional within our, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will engage broadly in various areas of private equity, but primarily focus on secondary's and contribute to all aspects of the secondary deal process. You will develop and share your thoughtful opinion and thrive in an entrepreneurial, collaborative, low-ego culture with high volume and fluid structure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Screening, and conducting due diligence on private equity secondary transactions, leveraging the team's robust GP network and broader private capital network
- Participate in evaluation and analysis of secondary transactions and assets across stages (i.e. buyout, venture, growth equity, etc.), industries and geographies
- Prepare and present due diligence materials and investment committee memos
- Construct an opinion around various investment opportunities and efficiently communicate it both verbally and in written materials
- Manage relationships with private equity sponsors, intermediaries, advisors (financial, legal, commercial) and other investors to perform due diligence and execute transactions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Atleast 1 years of experience working in secondaries, investment banking, accounting or other relevant field
- Strong analytical skills, including valuation and financial analysis, for evaluating and underwriting secondary transactions
- Ability to evaluate risk/reward trade-offs, and an ability to display sound investment judgement
- Strong technical skills, including Excel modeling, to build financial models and presentations
- Self-starter with ability think creatively when evaluating and progressing opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing and presenting investment memos and reports to investment committee and senior leadership
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks, and maintaining attention to detail
- Promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude, with desire to develop
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- CFA and/or MBA a plus, but not a requirement
- Experience operating within a small team a plus
- Knowledge of CapIQ and other sources of financial data
