Key job responsibilities
• Operating, monitoring, and adjusting audio and video equipment to ensure consistent quality.
• Installing audio and video equipment in hotels, conference rooms, and convention centers.
• The ability to flex between audio, video, and lighting roles as needed.
• Designing, programming, and operating live events with autonomy, taking the customers’ ideas and delivering an outstanding product.
• Promptly, thoroughly, professionally communicating with team, customers, and business partners.
• Reporting any problems that arise with complex equipment and make routine repairs.
• Proactively engaging with production team to pursue process improvements.
• Understanding and drafting signal flow diagrams, retaining data/records of and equipment used.
• Contributing as a subject matter expert in the field of event/entertainment.
• Searching out opportunities to help others improve skill-sets and knowledge base.
• Ensuring industry best practices are followed with a safety first mindset.
• Traveling (50-65%), as necessary, to support global events.
Pre-event:
• Organize allocated equipment based on event needs.
• Assist in the transportation to event space whether onsite or offsite.
• Handle equipment changes in a timely and professional manner.
• Test equipment use cases ahead of event.
• Communicate with organizer to determine technical needs.Event execution:
• A1, V1, L1 technical services for assigned events.
• Ability to flex to secondary support roles as needed
• Optimizing systems for the best quality attainable.
• Dynamically flex to customer needs and changes.Post-event:
• Assist with strike of event space(s), ensuring correct equipment handling and storage.
• Participate in post-event feedback discussions/surveys.A day in the life

- 3+ experience in event production • Positive, team-minded and ‘can do’ attitude, willing to jump in anywhere. • Strong understanding of live event processes. • Background in event AV, especially in audio and control systems. • Familiarity with Yamaha audio consoles. • Familiarity with truss builds and staging systems. • Focused, organized and effective in stressful environments. • Knowledge of MS Office suite. • Adaptive and flexible. • Resourceful and quick to take initiative. • Prioritization while multi-tasking under pressure and within short time constraints. • Capable of staying on task when alone, but also interface well with customers and team members. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to occasionally adjust work schedule to business needs. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and move quickly between locations.
