We would like to invite applications for the role of Analyst Microbiology (Contract until Dec 2024) at our site in Waterford

A Day in the Life of our Microbiology Analyst
  • To deliver Customer Service level of >95% by testing components/raw materials/finished product in an efficient and timely manner
  • To test and analyse components/raw materials/finished product to harmonised USP Chapters
  • Water Environmental and Swabbing Analysis
  • Providing products/results as per agreed schedules
  • Develop weekly and monthly plans to ensure testing is completed efficiently.
  • To identify and make recommendations for improvements as part of a team within or outside the department in order to eliminate non value added activities and ensure continuous improvement
  • Long Term planning for projects to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Are you….

  • Educated to Degree Level in Microbiology or a Microbiology Related Discipline
  • Available for a contract role

Do you have….

  • Knowledge of cGMP, GMP for Labs, Regulatory Bodies and Customer requirements.
  • Experience of Aseptic Techniques
  • Good Knowledge of USP Chapters <61> and <62>
  • Knowledge of Gram Stain and Culture work
  • Experience in Media Preparation, Microbiological Water testing, Environmental Monitoring Testing, Swab Analysis and harmonised USP product testing
  • Knowledge of Chemicals and associated Dangers
  • Knowledge of Documentation compliance
  • Report Writing Experience
  • Knowledge of Company Policies, Procedures and Standard
  • Experience of Operation of lab instruments
  • Knowledge of Health & safety/Environmental
  • Experience of Documentation review and completion
